Happy Earth Week! 

This week is a great time to think about your impact on this beautiful planet.  Here are some suggestions to help our planet and wildlife:

Plant Native plants and Pollinators:

Treat your yard like a wildlife corridor by growing native plants. Here are several nurseries with a large selection of Southern CA native plants:

Attend Educational Classes:

  1. Meet like-minded people from the North County Sierra Club and Preserve Wild Poway's Organization on Thursday, June 1st at the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Old Pomerado Road from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.  See “Save the Date” below for more details. 

  2. Celebrate Pollinator Week- May 8-14, San Diego’s Resource Conservation District is offering free classes throughout the county.  Check out the dates, classes, and locations on their calendar

  3. CA Friendly Landscape Training by Water Wise- Free Classes on How to Become a Watershed Gardener
