Watch Your Step! Baby Spadefoots at Risk!

What a year for the spadefoots - So Far ! Many have survived the tadpole stage, but many were lost during a short dry spell.

Now emerging from the pond as baby spadefoots, they face a formidable journey ahead. This is perhaps the most perilous time in their lives, as they must evade predators and navigate through unusually high human and dog traffic near their nursery.

Please help them have a better chance of survival. Keep dogs on a leash and watch your step. They can be very hard to see and easily crushed by any misstep. Please be extremely careful not to harm these "Threatened Species" and give them a chance to a full and productive life.
