Blue Sky Reserve to Lake Ramona
About the Hike:
We start at the beginning of Blue Sky Reserve and turn around when we reach Lake Ramona. This hike is about 4 miles long (2 miles each way). The bottom part of Blue Sky is flat and lovely. It goes along a seasonal creek and through oak stands that have survived past fires. After about a mile or so the trees disappear, and the hike starts going uphill. We’ll take the trail up to Ramona Dam, which is a bit steep but rewarding, with good views.
Directions and Parking:
If leaving from the south, take Espola Road going north. When it starts to bend to the east (just passed the sign for Bridlewood) you’ll see the sign for “Blue Sky Parking” on your right.
